My Setting

The ground floor of our home has been designed so that children can play in a safe but challenging environment.

Playroom: the conservatory has been converted into a light and airy room equipt with a wide range of toys and resources that cater for all ages and interest.  We have a mini library, music basket, lots of jigsaws and puzzles, dressing-up chest and a range of small world and construction sets.

Garden: in our secure, enclosed garden children have free access to a wide range of equipment such as scooters, balls, hoops and the sand/water trays.  Children's imaginative play is encouraged through a range of planned and child initiated activities and we have a slide, swing and see-saw to help children develop gross motor skills.

Quiet room: we use our living room as a place for children to relax and take part in more sedate activities, such as using the tablets or watching a little TV after lunch.  This is also where younger children have nap-time.

Kitchen: the table in our large, open plan kitchen is where children are able to complete homework, take part in art and craft activities and create yummy treats to take home - if they make it that far!

Washroom: the downstairs toilet has been equipt so that little ones can become more independent with their personal hygiene.

I provide lots of opportunities for your child to develop to their full potential.  We are within easy reach of many amenities such as the park, Wetlands Centre, soft play centres, Let's Play Big and the Galleries shopping centre and have planned daily visits so that
children have a chance to widen their social circle and gain first hand experience of their local environment.

I am a member of the local Childminding Network, and I regularly meet with other childminders, which helps children to interact with other adults and enjoy the added benefits of having a greater adult child ratio.  I plan regular trips to the library, so that we can restock our mini library. I am also a member of the Rainbow Centre Toy Library which means that I can constantly provide new resources to match your child's interest.
